LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — Two men were arrested after a stolen car crashed into a Lewiston home.
The Lewiston Tribune reports a 27-year-old suspect faces charges of felony eluding of a police officer, grand theft by possession of stolen property, felony unlawful entry and misdemeanor striking fixtures.
Lewiston Police Officer Chris Reese says a 28-year-old male passenger was held on an outstanding warrant.
Reese says he attempted a traffic stop late Saturday afternoon on a car reported stolen from Clarkston and it took off at high speed.
He says the car reached speeds of 50 mph (80.46 kph) on streets where the speed limit was half that.
The car crashed into a home where three people were inside. No one was hurt.
The suspects were found separately a few blocks from the home.
