Most car shoppers dismiss them immediately. The moment they see "branded title," they assume risk and scroll past.
But some of the best values on the road today are hiding behind that exact label.
"If people understood what goes into rebuilding these vehicles the right way, they'd look at them completely differently," says Brett Walkenhorst, owner of NeXgen Motors in Lindon. "It's not about cutting corners — it's about doing it right from the start."
For buyers who understand what they're looking at — and who they're buying from — a branded-title vehicle can mean more car, more options and far more value than most realize.
Save thousands without sacrificing quality
The biggest advantage is straightforward: price. Branded-title vehicles typically cost significantly less than comparable clean-title vehicles, but a lower price doesn't automatically mean lower quality.
In many cases, the original damage was cosmetic or limited, yet the savings remain substantial.
"People expect something compromised," Walkenhorst says. "What they find is a solid vehicle at a price that makes sense."
That means buyers can step into a newer model, lower mileage, or higher trim level than they thought possible.

Get more car for your money
Instead of stretching for a base model, a branded title vehicle may let you upgrade to a premium trim, get more features and technology, or choose a vehicle you actually want — not just one that fits the budget.
"We have customers who come in expecting one thing and leave with something way better," Walkenhorst says. "They realize they don't have to settle."
Rebuilt vehicles are fully inspected and road-ready
There's a common misconception that branded-title vehicles are unsafe or unfinished. That's not the case with rebuilt vehicles.
A rebuilt title means the vehicle has been professionally repaired, passed a state-mandated inspection and been approved as safe and legal to drive.
At NeXgen, every vehicle undergoes detailed mechanical, safety and cosmetic evaluations before reaching the lot.
"If it doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't make it to the lot," Walkenhorst explains. "Period."
We pass on far more vehicles than we buy," Walkenhorst says. "We're looking for the right kind of damage, the right structure, the right opportunity to rebuild it correctly.

The selection process matters more than the title
Most people don't realize the real difference in quality isn't the title — it's who selects and rebuilds the vehicle.
At NeXgen, only a small percentage of vehicles are chosen from auction. Each one is carefully evaluated before purchase.
"We pass on far more vehicles than we buy," Walkenhorst says. "We're looking for the right kind of damage, the right structure, the right opportunity to rebuild it correctly."
A smarter financial decision
Buying a vehicle is one of the biggest purchases most people make. A properly rebuilt branded-title vehicle can offer immediate savings, lower overall depreciation and greater long-term value.
"For a lot of our customers, it just clicks. They're getting more vehicle for their money without sacrificing reliability."
Is it worth it?
For buyers willing to look beyond the label, the answer is often yes. The key is understanding the difference between salvage and rebuilt, and choosing a dealership that prioritizes quality, transparency and process.
