(AP photo)The devastation in Haiti is massive and your donation to a reputable charity is greatly needed.

Here is a list of several agencies accepting donations to help the people of Haiti:

How you can make a difference:
1. Donate to the local Red Cross chapter online at [www.utahredcross.org](http:// www.utahredcross.org) 2. Or, call 801-323-7000 or 1-800-RED-CROSS 3. Stop by any [ Deseret Book](http://www.deseretbook.com) location and make your donation. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross. 4. Text the word "Haiti" to 90999 and a $10 donation will automatically be taken from your next cell phone bill to help relief efforts in haiti.
1. A $10 donation can provide a family with two water cans to store clean drinking water, a blanket appropriate to the climate or other supplies to give families the ability to cook for their families.
5. Mail checks to the American Red Cross at 555 East 300 South, suite 200, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102
Hope for Haiti Broadcast:

1. Plus, make sure to tune in on KSL5 (NBC) from 7-9pm for "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief". 2. Featuring actors and artists including Coldplay, U2, Bruce Springsteen and many more. 3. Organizations receiving relief from this telethon include Unicef, Oxfam America, and Partners in Health, the World Food Program and the American Red Cross.
American Red Cross Relief Efforts:
1. More than a week since several earthquakes shook the Port-au- Prince region and surrounding areas in Haiti 2. Estimated that 2 million are homeless, living in overcrowed camps with poor or non existant sanitation 3. 250,000 are in need of urgent aid 4. The American Red Cross is delivering relief with the help of the American public through:
1. First aid posts 2. Hospitals 3. Relief distribution sites 4. Water trucking programs 5. Family linking programs
  1. Approximately 100 tons of Red Cross aid has arrived in Haiti
  2. Red Cross will also provide tents and shelter supplies for an initital 20,000 families.
