Like many Web development companies, Jacob Seethaler tells me Convina Website Solutions was founded in a college dorm room. Convina was formed as a partnership between himself and David Ogden. The two friends used it as means to fund their college education. Today, the business has a permanent office in Draper and includes eight employees.
Convina Website Solutions helps clients build custom Web sites. Many customers are small business owners launching their company, and Jacob enjoys helping them achieve their dream. Experienced designers provide fast, friendly service and abide by high customer service and technical standards, meaning only the newest Web technology is used for each site.
While Web development remains the core of the business, a few years ago, the partners felt Convina was missing something. Jacob is the type of person who enjoys doing new activities every weekend, whether it is participating in a triathlon or attending a demolition derby. One of his biggest complaints has always been the registration process, which was inefficient and time consuming. To address this issue, he and David created Regtix.com, an online event registration and ticketing portal.
Jacob says Regtix.com has been quite a hit and now hosts hundreds of events. Once clients experience all the site has to offer - including a free Web site about the event, the ability to accept online registrations and streamlined communication - around 95 percent switch to the event portal. Right now he and David are working with quite a few charity events such as the Utah Human Race, a 5K on Thanksgiving Day to raise money for the Utah Food Bank.
Convina Website Solutions is distinguished by its innovative employees and their ability to creatively lay out a Web site. Jacob and David hope to not only continue growing Convina but also to spread the word about all Regtix.com has to offer.
