In the UK a $5 dollar jab called snoreplasty is being touted as an effective and cheap way to stop snoring for up to one year. The two minute procedure is done under local anesthetic and consists of an injection into the roof of the mouth. The ear nose and throat specialist who pioneered the treatment says it should help around 70 percent of snorers and their long-suffering, sleep-deprived partners.
