A survey conducted for The Bookseller magazine has revealed that the seventh and final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, may not reach the shelves of up to 25% of independent booksellers in the UK.
According to The Daily Telegraph, such bookshops said that they could not match the discounted prices on the Harry Potter titles offered by the larger chains and Internet retailer Amazon.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth title in JK Rowling's Harry Potter series, had a recommended retail price of GBP16.99, whilst supermarket chain Tesco was able to sell the book for just GBP8.99.
