This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
When you store something, it's good to know it will be protected. This is particularly true of chemicals or other hazardous materials that must be securely contained. With help from Dan Busche, you won't have to worry about anything you store.
Dan's company, Quality Container, distributes all types of storage containers including 55-gallon drums (in fiber, metal and plastic), pails, buckets and cans. These containers are used mainly for industrial purposes such as storing chemicals or other strong materials. Dan's clientele spans a wide variety of industries including paint, brine shrimp, aerospace, environmental, food and the current top-selling industry, emergency preparedness.
A native of Germany, Dan tells me his family moved to Utah during his youth because of an assignment his father had with the LDS Church. This gave Dan the chance to attend and graduate from BYU. He was first introduced to the container industry in 1990 when he started working for a steel drum manufacturer. Later, he became a US Container employee, and when the company decided to open an office in Utah, they offered Dan the chance to manage that branch.
Dan ran the Utah branch of US Container from 1995 until 2005 when he purchased it. He reopened as Quality Container and has been running it ever since. One of the nice things about owning his company, Dan says, is that all decisions are made locally. If he sees that something isn't working, he can change it.
Since purchasing the branch four years ago, Dan says business has almost doubled. He hopes to see Quality Container continue to grow at a steady, manageable pace. His Salt Lake City company is distinguished by the strong relationships it has with customers.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
