Sotheby's will sell the art and antiquities collection of Frits Philips -- former chief executive of the Dutch electronics group Philips and son of its founder Anton -- in Eindhoven next month, a spokeswoman for the auction house said on Thursday.

The paintings, furniture and sculptures "radiate Dutch elegance and style", the auctioneers' website reported.

The lots include "A Portrait of Martin Luther" from 1532 by Lucas Cranach the Elder, a rare Delft Noir teapot circa 1702 to 1720 and a set of four silver candlesticks by Dirk ten Brink II valued at 100,000 to 150,000 euros (129,000 to 194,000 dollars).

Sotheby's will hold the auction on December 4 and 5 in the Philips' home town, where they expect sales of around four million euros.

Bidding opens on December 4 and closes a day later on what would have been Frits Philips' 101st birthday.

The collection was started by Anton Philips in the late 19th century and continued by his son Frederik, better known as Frits, until his death in 2005.
