MONTEBELLO, Calif., Nov 15, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Florence Tullis, a biker and mother who was played by Cher in the 1985 movie "Mask," died at the age of 70 in Montebello, Calif., after a motorcycle accident.

Tullis died Saturday of an infection sustained during a motorcycle accident about one month prior to her death, The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

Tullis, the mother of Rocky Dennis, who suffered a rare disfiguring disease and died in 1978 at the age of 16, lost control of her three-wheeled motorcycle when the right tire fell off. She was thrown from the vehicle when it hit the curb, said Azusa Police Lt. John Momot told the Times.

"She would never stop riding motorcycles unless something drastic happened," said her niece, Helen Cunningham. "Well, something drastic happened."

"She had a very colorful life," Cunningham told the newspaper. "She did a lot of things. She got in trouble. She did what she did."

In addition to her niece, Tullis is also survived by her sisters Bonnie Meeker and Dorothy Stuart.
