(KSL News) -- A new website claims to be able to give you the best prices on airfare before anyone else.
It's called Farecompare.com, and just like Expedia or Orbitz, it's a place where people can compare airfares.
The difference is Farecompare says it will e-mail you the minute prices drop, giving you the first chance to get the best deal. Officials say it's because they update their information just minutes after the airline tariff publishing company sends it out, rather than the hours it takes other travel websites. That update comes in the form of an e-mail letting you know the better price is coming.
Rick Seaney, FareCompare.com: "This is actually a good thing because you are first to be notified, so in a few hours it will show up and you'll be one of the first to have access to those really good prices."
Farecompare does not charge anything for its service.
