Don't get me wrong. Facebook is great. As someone whose family is mostly on the complete opposite side of the country, I've been happily taking advantage of the free and easy way to send pictures and video to my dad, sister and brother - files that are often too big to e-mail.
Myspace has its good points too, although I admit, I don't really use it as much - too many pop-up ads and people can blare their favorite song at me if I'm not ready with the "mute" button fast enough.
Heck, even Twitter's got its place out there. That's another one I was kind of dragged into - I have an account that I never update, solely so that the Salt Lake City Police Department can update me on breaking news situations.
But whatever happened to picking up the phone and calling your friends? Whatever happened to actually *gasp* visiting them in person?
