LONDON, Oct 31, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Former model Jo Jo Laine, notorious for her liaisons with rock stars in the 1960s and 1970s, has died in London from a fall at age 53.
The former wife of Wings guitarist Denny Laine was near the end stage of liver cancer when she fell down a flight of stairs and hit her head last week, the Daily Mail said.
She remained in a coma until her death at St. George's Hospital Sunday.
The Boston native born Joanne LaPatrie moved to Los Angeles at age 17 where she quickly climbed the fashion ranks and was soon appearing on the covers of top magazines such as Vogue.
She lost her virginity to guitarist Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock in 1969 and counted Rod Stewart and Jim Morrison among her many lovers, the Mail said.
She met Laine at age 20 and they had two children before marrying in 1978. After her divorce, she had a third child in 1983 with Peter O'Donohue, the newspaper said.
In her later years, she became a "wifelet" of Alexander Thynn, the infamous Marquis of Bath, who shared his 10,000-acre estate with several women. She returned to London in ill health in 1996.
