Next Wednesday on Kids' Stuff, I profile the March of Dimes Teddy Bear Den. So today, I paid the March of Dimes a visit to learn about this program that provides free baby care products to low income pregnant women in the Salt lake valley. As an incentive to practice healthy behaviors through their pregnancies, women earn points that can go toward such things as diapers and infant clothing. The program helps the March of Dimes prevent birth defects, while giving moms things they need to take care of their babies.
The Teddy Bear Den is struggling due to the poor economy. More women need the help, while fewer people are making donations. On Kids' Stuff, we learn what a difference this program makes for one woman and her children.
