This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Harvey Hustad has been running his own mechanical repair shop and fixing heating and air conditioning units for more than 20 years. At first, the mechanical service work he provided was a part-time business he operated in the evenings and on weekends. But when Harvey's son, Ryan, joined the business in 2003, things really started taking off.

Thanks to a loyal customer base, the company was growing exponentially. In 2003, the Hustads decided to branch into new construction, both residential and commercial. With more employees on board by 2005, Hustad Mechanical was fully equipped to begin expanding into larger projects. Both the expansion and the quality of care offered to customers have lead to the company's success.

In the last year, residential work, construction projects and service have enabled Hustad Mechanical to continue forging ahead. The company's service technicians can repair all aspects of someone's heating or air conditioning unit. Installing and servicing rooftop units have been the most in-demand services. However, the company also offers popular LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified systems.

Recently, it became clear the growing company needed a bigger shop, so, the Hustads applied for a small business loan from Zions Bank. Freshly equipped with funds provided by the U.S. Treasury through the Capital Purchase Program, Zions supplied the Hustads with the necessary funds last fall. They moved into a larger shop that has enabled them to hire more employees and affords the business a better location.

Ryan says there has never been a year when the company's profits didn't increase. And he doesn't expect this year to be any different, thanks to funds provided by Zions Bank to finance the new shop.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
