(KSL News) -- Stonehenge has made the short list for the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
To celebrate, 50 robed druids performed a ceremony in the circle of stones earlier this week.
Stonehenge is the only British entry for the list.
"Being a Druid means being able to go out into certain special places in nature where the power of the place is so strong you feel the divine in nature, and Stonehenge has always been one of those particular places."
Other contenders include the Statue of Liberty, Great Wall of China, The Eiffel Tower, The Coliseum in Rome, The Pyramids of Giza, and The Kremlin. There are 21 sites in all.
The winners are being decided by a world-wide poll organized by a Swiss company. The winners will be announced in July of next year.
