An Arizona college student is charged with trying to kill her infant son after giving birth in a Southern Arizona dorm room.
Tucson police say Sarah Tatum gave birth in a dorm on the University of Arizona campus Monday evening.
She was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder and child abuse charges.
The University has put Tatum on interim suspension because she's charged with committing a violent crime.
Officials say the baby is alive, but in critical condition.
