Spawning kokanee will be visible year round on the Strawberry River thanks to Utah Wildlife Walls. Artist, Chris Peterson, painted a kokanee salmon mural on the Strawberry Visitor Center, right next to the Strawberry River where kokanee spawn in the fall. Since 2022, Utah Wildlife Walls has created 15 murals across six Utah counties, with a goal of painting at least one in all 29 counties. Utah Wildlife Walls has a contest going on through the end of September to encourage people to get out and view the murals and connect with Utah's wildlife.
