MAIN STREET — Ice can do strange things. For example, have you ever visited Utah Lake after a major winter windstorm? If the lake's frozen, giant slabs of ice will be piled up haphazardly. No joke, it looks like some sort of alien landscape.
The most startling ice I've ever encountered was in a cave near my childhood house. Our Scout troop thought it would be a good idea to do a winter campout in the cave, which had a massive opening that could easily accommodate all of us.
As soon as we entered the cave, we noticed huge icicles dangling menacingly from the ceiling. Some of these icicles were at least 4 feet long and as big around as your thigh. We made some jokes about how dangerous they looked, then built a fire and cooked our dinner.
After bedding down for the night, we began to hear creaking sounds above us. Then we heard a thunderous crash, quickly followed by another. Loosened by the heat of the fire, the icicles were beginning to drop down like bombs.
We scrambled out of the cave and never did another winter camp in it again.

I've never heard of double-pane glass on a vehicle before, but that's pretty much what it looks like. As an added bonus, the patterned texture of the ice could give you some privacy if you needed to change clothes in your car before heading into work. The only drawback to this Mother Nature window enhancement is that it's not very durable, so if anybody sneezes on it, you're out of luck.
