WASHINGTON, Washington County — A human skull was discovered off to the side of I-15 in southern Utah on Monday.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Alexander said a company contracted to clean up litter and debris along the I-15 right of way in Washington discovered the human remains.

"They reported the finding to UHP, who responded to secure the scene. Troopers and SBI (State Bureau of Investigation) agents are investigating," he said. A Utah Department of Transportation camera showed the right shoulder on northbound I-15 in the area was blocked as police investigated Monday evening.
