THE RAIN PUDDLE — It's good to see some part of the U.S. is catching rainfall this summer (sorry, Utah), but for one deer, it's just about the best news ever.

Why? The endless enjoyment it gets out of splashing and running through a puddle almost akin to the way that man's best friend would.

Across a just 55-second compilation, this doglike deer has about as much fun as you can imagine with a scenic, green landscape as the backdrop to its many twists, jumps and sprints.

Little context is shared, but the deer must be a captive one with its collar and propensity of not being bothered by the people so closely capturing its joy. In fact, a woman gets in on the fun, splashing the deer, which it seems to enjoy ... until it doesn't.

For this furry friend, the puddle acts as a pool, a watering hole and a bathtub all at once. It's a reminder that whether a deer, a dog or a kid, sometimes the most fun to be had in the summer months stems from what weather and nature concoct — in this case, a modest rain puddle.

I used to go on the deer hunt as a kid. And many people still do, which no judgement. However, this video shows there's so much to enjoy about animals in nature, such as the very humanlike wonder this deer shows at the prospects of playing in a puddle, that doesn't include just antlers or venison. For a few summer moments, this deer is every kid who splashed a friend with a puddle after a storm.
