THE SWIMMING POOL — Imagine you've just checked into a hotel with your family. The kids have been asking the whole drive if you'll take them swimming in the pool, so you promise to take them bright and early the next morning.
You set your alarm for a few minutes before the pool opens, thinking that'll give you time to put on swimsuits, get down to the pool and find a few chairs where you can store all your belongings while you're swimming. This plan seems perfect until you arrive at the pool a mere four minutes after opening, and it's already packed to the brim with people. Every chair is taken, and there are multiple families awkwardly crammed under the few umbrellas and trees that offer shade.
How did this happen? Where did all these people come from?
Fortunately, a non-swimming hotel guest has solved the mystery for us. Check out this wild video.
As you can see, things get intense the moment the hotel opens the pool gates. People are running in every direction, and some of the more extreme individuals even lie down across multiple chairs to save them for the rest of their group.
This dire situation leaves you with two options. Either you wake up extra early to join the battle of the pool chairs, or you arrive later (with your dignity) and accept the fact that you won't have a comfortable place to store your stuff.
Well, I guess there's a third option. Avoid the pool altogether and order room service.
