Save Story

Brunch has become a beloved weekend ritual for many Utahns.

But if you've ever waited in line at a crowded cafe or squeezed onto a busy patio, you've probably found yourself wondering –– isn't there a better way to do this?

Sitting atop the Wasatch Mountains, Snowbasin Resort's Mountain-Top Brunch redefines what brunch is all about.

On each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at scenic Needles Lodge, this special occasion combines high-end dining with literal altitude—complete with stunning vistas, chef-served cuisine, and unlimited use of the mountain's summer play opportunities.

Take a ride to the top in style

Your brunch excursion begins with a peaceful 12-minute gondola ride up to Needles Lodge.

Along the ride up the mountain, scenic views of the Ogden Valley, Pineview Reservoir, and rugged peaks extend as far as the eye can see.

It's peaceful, tranquil, and a refuge from the blistering summer sun in the valley below.

Regardless of whether you're marking a milestone or just in the mood for something extra special, the ride alone is worth the trip.

But when you step out of the gondola, it only gets better.

Gourmet buffet with a view

Inside the lodge, guests are treated to a seasonally themed gourmet buffet—designed by Snowbasin's chefs to include the freshest possible ingredients and boldest flavors of the season.

The menu changes frequently, but staples tend to include:

  • Cold smoked salmon mélange.
  • Boursin-crusted salmon.
  • Smoked prime rib.
  • Mustard and herb-marinated pork tenderloin.
  • Biscuits with red-eye gravy.
  • Summer vegetable succotash.
  • Fresh fruit, pastries, and house-made desserts.
  • Seasonal frittata and more.

Regardless of whether you're a seasoned food enthusiast or a sweet tooth to indulge there's something for all to enjoy. With both patio and indoor seating, you can dine surrounded by breathtaking 360-degree views of Utah's high country.

It's the kind of meal that makes you want to slow down, sit back, and maybe even order seconds.

More than a meal

What truly makes Mountain-Top Brunch stand out is everything that comes with it.

Your brunch reservation isn't merely a ticket to dine—it's an all-access pass to one of Utah's most beautiful mountain playlands.

Included with brunch:

  • All-day unlimited scenic gondola rides.
  • More than 26 miles of alpine hiking and biking trails.
  • Free access to summer events at Snowbasin including the Blues & Brews weekend concert series and the Snow-White SnowWiesn Oktoberfest (toward the end of the season.)

So, whether you like to walk off your brunch with a peaceful alpine hike, relax with live music and a regional brew, or just take a second gondola ride for the views—you're invited to make an afternoon of it.
