ST. GEORGE — A woman was taken to the hospital after rolling her car near the Utah-Arizona border on Thursday morning.

First responders were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover shortly after 7 a.m. MDT near milepost 2 on Old Highway 91, according to a Facebook post from the Beaver Dam-Littlefield Fire Department.

A woman was traveling south in a red Nissan Rogue approximately a mile north of the Utah-Arizona border when, according to northbound witnesses, the vehicle "suddenly jerked left" and traveled east across oncoming lanes before rolling, Washington County Sheriff Sgt. Lucas Alfred told St. George News.

Alfred said the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, but the driver seemed "very confused on scene."

There were no other injuries or reported property damage. However, Alfred said the woman's bernadoodle — a Bernese mountain dog-poodle mix — was not located at the scene and is possibly running loose. The dog is black, beige and white with shorter, curly hair. If anyone spots it, they should call the sheriff's office.
