ST. GEORGE — The teen charged with aggravated kidnapping for reportedly attacking a woman in a St. George Tabernacle Street parking garage appeared for sentencing.

On Tuesday, 18-year-old Oliver Hepworth of LaVerkin, who pleaded guilty to third-degree felony forcible sexual abuse, kidnapping and assault, appeared for a hearing held at 5th District Court in St. George.

The charges were filed following an incident on Nov. 18, 2024, when the St. George Police Department received a call that a woman was attacked in a parking garage on West Tabernacle Street, according to charging documents filed at the time.

The reporting party told police she was walking toward the parking garage when she noticed a man walking in the opposite direction. Minutes later, as she was heading to her car, the defendant approached from behind, grabbing her while attempting to push her into the back of her own vehicle.
