Halloween is a holiday that's far from a one day celebration — especially in Utah. Haunted houses open across the area, scary movie marathons are broadcast on TV and several events for the whole family are hosted.
For years, dealerships at the Young Automotive Group have contributed to the festivities with a series of trunk or treats. That said, since the turn of the decade, they haven't just been held by the company's locations that sell vehicles with trunks.
In partnership with KSL, Young Powersports XL Centerville will host their annual trunk or treat event on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.
"We're excited to see everyone bring the whole family down and have some fun," said Nate Gailey, general manager of Young Powersports XL Centerville. "Our last trunk or treat was a big success. We're happy to have even more fun planned and give back to our amazing city and neighbors."
Held at their facility on Frontage Road, both attendees and employees are encouraged to arrive in costume. Decorations will be set up throughout the dealership, as well as machines with stashes of candy. Those at the event will also be able to visit face painters and balloon artists.

Along with the activities, Young Powersports XL Centerville will select a winner for their pumpkin carving contest — which accepts entries from now until the start of judging. KSL will have a booth at the event as well for guests to grab clothing and swag from.
"Our community has done so much to support us during our first year in business," Gailey said. "We're so grateful to KSL for always being an amazing partner and helping us power up the fun."
The dealership's trunk or treat is the last of the Young Automotive Group's for the year. Previous events occurred at the company's Morgan, Logan and Brigham City locations, as well as one at Young Chevrolet in Layton.
This year's trunk or treat events coincide with the Young Automotive Group's celebration of 100 years in business. Established by Seldon "Jack" Olsen in Morgan, Utah, the company has expanded from a single location to over 30 operations across three states.
Young Powersports first joined the Young Automotive Group in 2015 with the opening of a location in Idaho. They've since expanded to eight dealerships — a list that includes the largest powersports destination in Utah: Young Powersports XL Centerville.
"That's one of the things we love most about hosting a trunk or treat during this year," Gailey said. "The Young Automotive Group has always valued tradition, and events like this show that. We celebrate where we came from, and are proud to continue organizing the events and initiatives that have shaped our identity."
