Utah brothers, Peter and Mark Rane, simply could not find a pillow that they liked. With hundreds of combinations of filling materials, levels of support and even the fabric on the outside, it's difficult to find the right pillow for one's specific needs.
Just when you think you've found the right one, the familiar aches and stiffness return.
The real problem stems from a lack of support in your preferred sleeping positions. According to Andrew Bang, DC for Cleveland Clinic, finding a pillow that adjusts to you is helpful. Because there are so many different pillows available, the Rane brothers decided to put their 15 years of product development experience to the challenge.
The Ranes say it comes down to adjustability.
"We are all different, we have our own preferences, body types, and preferred sleeping positions. There are some adjustable pillows on the market, but none of them worked to our satisfaction. We wanted to be able to have the most comfortable materials possible and still allow for adjustments," Mark said.
That is why the two brothers developed the patented Pod-System. The Twilla pillow is filled with a bunch of small mini-pillows they call pods. To customize your pillow, you can zip it open and add or remove pods.

Unlike other pillows on the market, the pods keep all of the messy filling materials contained.
The patented system works in a way that allows users to position pods for specific support. For example, if you experience neck pain, you can position a few extra pods within the front/interior of the pillow to support your neck.
Why customers love their Twilla
According to Peter and Mark, customers don't just love their Twilla pillows, they feel in control of how they sleep. Some even say it relieves their neck pain.
One customer says, "This is the best pillow I have ever had. It's hard to find a pillow that supports your head and neck so well. I wish I had these years ago. It's a total game changer."
It's a good sign when a spine health expert endorses the pillow. Michael Halladay, creator of the Upright Spine Program, knows the importance of correct spine alignment while you sleep. He says the "Twilla pillow checks all of the boxes."
