The COVID-19 pandemic might be over, but another epidemic continues. United States Surgeon General Vivek H. Murthy described it as the "epidemic of loneliness and isolation."
This epidemic, which has increased in recent years, is especially prevalent in men.
The Survey Center on American Life reports that 15% of men today indicated they have no close friends. 30 years ago, 55% of men surveyed reported having at least six close friends. By 2020, that figure dropped — 27% of men said they had six close friends. Only 22% said they had a friend they could count on to help them with a personal problem.
To combat these trends, Jimmy Rex created the men's community and movement, We Are The They. Focused on helping men find friends, mentors, brotherhood and improvement, the WATT Tribe is a group that could change your life.
"We understand the weight of this loneliness and are here to redefine the narrative," Rex said. "This is a place where men … come to rise, to unleash their true potential... . The Tribe is not just a community; it's a brotherhood, forged by resilience and driven by an unquenchable thirst for growth."
A movement for better men
Not only is it a great way to meet new friends, but joining the WATT Tribe brings several benefits. For a monthly fee, members enjoy networking opportunities, weekly live calls with elite leaders, in-person live events, online coaching courses, exclusive community app access, adventure trips and more.
"It's in this vulnerability that you'll discover strength, connection, and a support system like no other," Rex said. "Whether you're driven by a sense of mission or crave deep, meaningful connections, the Tribe has your back. "This is a haven for men who refuse to settle … We believe in your ability to become the best version of yourself, to conquer your challenges and to leave an indelible mark on the world."
Life-changing experiences
In addition to making new connections, the group places an emphasis on going outside of your comfort zone. Some of these experiences include running with bulls in Spain, doing the insanity swing in Moab, skydiving in Phoenix and more. They're currently planning a trip to Africa for 2024.
To join the group and grow as a person and friend, consider applying to be a member. The We Are The They Tribe is comprised of more than 400 powerful men, and it's quickly growing. The 2024 enrollment window is open, so If you want to apply, click here.
What members are saying
The benefits of forging strong connections with like-minded men can't be understated. Loneliness, isolation and depression are very real risks for many men these days, and the WATT movement can help.
WATT Tribe member, Bracken H. said, "Never in a million years would I have imagined what joining WATT would turn into … It's a bond that is difficult to describe and put into words but when you get around a group of men who are all working to become the best versions of themselves in ALL aspects of life, that bond can really become strong quickly … These men, who I now call brothers, believe in God, believe in family and believe in becoming the best versions of themselves that they were put on this planet to become. It's really something special and I'm grateful to be a part of this movement. These brothers continue to inspire me to become better in all aspects of my life and I'd go to war in the trenches with all of them."
In another review, Tribe member Dan B. said, "Although I was skeptical going in, this is the perfect group … I'm so grateful to be part of this group and I am looking forward to using this learning in my day-to-day life."
Join the We Are The They movement and change your life
Marcus Aurelias said, "Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one." And that is exactly what the WATT movement is all about.
