MIDWAY — Tickets to see the Midway Ice Castles went on sale Wednesday.
The popular wintertime attraction is returning this year with a few new additions and activities.
"Utah is where all the magic started for Ice Castles years ago and we have so much love for Midway," said Ice Castles CEO Kyle Standifird in a press release. "This year we are excited to be debuting a new castle design along with a soda bar."
According to the press release, the new design features slides, caverns, tunnels, crawl spaces and new ice sculptures. Along with this, the attraction has partnered with Quench It! to debut a new ice soda bar. Other new features include enhanced lighting, igloos and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
Since getting its start in Utah in 2011, Ice Castles has expanded to three other states including New Hampshire, Minnesota and Colorado. It's also opened Winter Realms in Wisconsin and New York, according to the press release.
Ice Castles typically opens in January and closes in March, but that depends on the weather. Tickets are currently on sale beginning Jan. 13 through Feb. 3, 2024.
You can buy tickets on the Utah Ice Castles' website. Tickets for general admission Monday through Thursday are $19 for ages 12 and up and $12 for ages 4 to 11. Tickets for Fridays and Saturdays are $25 for ages 12 and up and $17 for ages 4 to 11.
