ALBERTA, Canada — Owl siblings are more similar to human siblings than you might think. They can also go from caring for each other to fighting in less than a second.
Wildlife photographer Colton Lockridge captured an adorable video of two owls play-fighting with each other. The two juvenile great horned owls go from preening each other's feathers to biting at each other and interlocking talons.
He said on social media the experience was "so incredible" as he watched the two owl siblings interact in the woods. There were four young owls in the area and he said he didn't know owls exhibited this behavior until he saw it.
Human sibling relationships can be super similar. One minute you are arguing with each other over where the TV remote is, then the next you are happily watching the new episode of your favorite show together.
Nature is so beautiful and it's always nice to be able to slow down and watch magnificent creatures interact.
