This year's conference is just around the corner, and here are a few reasons why you will want to register for it as soon as possible.

Hear from inspirational speakers

One of the best ways to jumpstart your business or career is to hear from those who've been where you are and know what it takes to succeed. The Women & Business Conference will feature 27 different speakers who will present on a variety of topics.

The morning starts with keynote speaker Jacki Zehner, founder of SheMoney and ShePlace, who will present on financial wellness for women in the workplace. After decades of experience in the wealth management industry, Zehner has become a financial expert.

She refers to herself as a "financial feminist" and has won many awards, including being named by The Economist Magazine as one of the Top 50 Public Figures in Diversity globally.

Next, you will be able to choose which presentations you want to attend during the three different breakout sessions before and after lunch. Speakers include executives, founders, managers, owners, professors and other leaders from some of Utah's top businesses and universities.

The final session of the day will be "A Bolder Way Forward: Ensuring Utah Girls and Women Thrive." You will learn about the Bolder Way Forward initiative and how to engage in positive societal change for Utah girls and women. Speakers for this presentation include:

  • Dr. Susan Madsen, director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project
  • Sui Lang L. Panoke, senior vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion of Zions Bank
  • Nubia Peña, senior advisor on Equity and Opportunity at the Utah Governor's Office

Gain valuable business insights

Throughout the day, you will learn valuable business insights from some of Utah's best and brightest leaders. For example, an important topic in the professional world is allyship, but some leaders don't know what this looks like or how best to put this into practice in the workplace.

One of the breakout sessions will feature speakers from Clyde Companies who will explore how men are actively working to advance women in their industry and the world.

Foster relationships with other businesswomen

There's both a social and a professional benefit to attending the Women & Business Conference. Fostering relationships with other businesswomen is something that will help you grow and thrive in ways you could not accomplish on your own. In the professional world, there's no substitute for networking when you want your business to thrive.

"Business networking is important because it allows professionals to identify new opportunities and increase their chances of entrepreneurial success," the Indeed Editorial Team writes.

The contacts you make at the conference might just give you the professional boost you need — and they could even become some of your dearest friends.

Become the best version of yourself

The ultimate goal of the Women & Business Conference is to help you become the best version of yourself professionally and personally. The best way to do that is to get outside of your comfort zone and expand your horizons. You'll gain greater knowledge, confidence and skills — all you have to do is show up!
