NORTH CAROLINA – We've all been in situations when things looked bad, and then they really got bad.
Like, if you were to hear a rattling sound coming from your dishwasher. You might make your way over to the appliance, fretting about the fact that you'd probably need to replace one of the sprayers. Then you open the dishwasher and a dozen angry rattlesnakes spill out onto your kitchen floor.
While there were no rattlesnakes involved in the predicament in this video, it still was a doozy. Check it out:
According to the video's description, this occurred in Charlotte, North Carolina. The original poster showed major writing chops in the thrilling description:
"On the morning of August 12th, as the sun cast long shadows on the driveway, the trailer, disconnected from its anchor, began its menacing roll towards my Ford Focus. Panic-stricken, my father-in-law, in a desperate bid to halt its momentum, hastily jumped out of his car, neglecting to shift it into park. Like a scene from a suspenseful movie, the car suddenly lunged forward, setting its sights on a disastrous collision with my neighbor's pristine home. Time seemed to slow as my father-in-law, caught in a heart-stopping predicament, had to choose: save my car from the looming trailer or prevent his own vehicle from becoming a living room intruder. Drawing on reflexes I didn't know he had, he managed to intercept his car just in time, and, to my astonishment, the trailer narrowly missed my Focus, leaving mere inches to spare."
Wow. Seems like the father-in-law made the right choice. If he had stuck with the plan of stopping the trailer, he would've felt like an idiot after the trailer took a path that would've missed the car anyway, yet his car crashed into a neighbor's house.
