HARRISVILLE, Weber County — A man riding a bicycle was found unresponsive, with life-threatening injuries, after a collision with a vehicle Thursday evening, according to the Harrisville Police Department.

The man, described as in his 40s, was found at Wall Avenue and North Street in Harrisville, in Weber County, at 5:23 p.m. He was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden in "extremely" critical condition, said Harrisville Police Sgt. Nick Taylor.

The department's Critical Incident Crash Team is currently investigating the crash and its causes, Taylor said.

No one else was injured in the collision.

Taylor said there were no indications that drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation and has not been issued any citations, the sergeant said.

Speeding is also not suspected as a factor in the crash, Taylor said.

"We would just like to thank the people that did call in, anybody that stopped and reported it," he added.
