NEW YORK, Sep 20, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- David Mays and Ray "Benzino" Scott, founders of The Source Magazine, are set to launch their newest U.S. periodical Hip Hop Weekly next month

A news release from the magazine's holding company, Hip Hop Global Media, said Hip Hop Weekly will be launched on Oct. 16 and feature works from radio personalities Star & Buc Wild and Wendy Williams.

"With HHW's revolutionary format, we're better equipped to document this culture as it happens. Readers can depend on us for insight, criticism, and perspective on how hip-hop influences the world." said the new magazine's Editor-In-Chief Mimi Valdes. "Our entire team, both business and editorial, is filled with passionate fans that understand the hip-hop lifestyle. Believe me, that's going to make all the difference."

Hip Hop Weekley will be oriented towards under-40 fans of the hip-hop culture and offer the most recent information regarding changing trends in the ever-evolving world of hip-hop, said the release.
