YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK— Imagine you are driving through a national park and happen to see a wolf trotting along through the trees. That experience might be considered a highlight of your trip.
But what if that wolf decided to come down onto the road in front of you? And then it raised its head and began howling?
Yeah, it would be epic. Check out this video of a wolf literally stopping traffic at Yellowstone with its howling.
As with the other wolf video I shared a while back, this footage was captured by the Yellowstone Twins, a pair of Montana sisters who frequent the park and share videos of their wildlife encounters.
"The wolf walked down the street and then started howling," explains this video's caption. "The other wolves ran by as well but were in the rocks and about 20 yards from the street. We counted a total of eight wolves. The video was taken inside our car in the evening around 7 p.m. This is possibly the alpha wolf of the 8 Mile or the Rescue Creek Pack."
I personally have no interest in encountering a wolf out in the woods, but it sure would be amazing to watch a display like that from the safety of my car.
