1. 1 dead, several others injured in Salt Lake City apartment fire
One person died and several other people, including three firefighters, were injured in a fire at a downtown Salt Lake City apartment building early Monday.
2. Confrontation between neighbors led to fatal stabbing in Kearns, police say
Two men have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man early Sunday, police said. "What we know, at this point, is there were a few neighbors that became involved in a physical altercation," said Unified Police Sgt. Melody Cutler.
3. Police: Man in custody after firing gun, barricading himself in Orem house
A man who police say began shooting after fleeing the scene of a vehicle accident in Orem on Saturday morning is now in police custody.
4. 1 dead, 1 critically injured after motorcycle collides with antelope in southern Utah
One person died and another person was transported to a hospital in "extremely" critical condition after authorities say the motorcycle they were riding struck an antelope in southern Utah Monday morning.
5. Memorial Day weekend search for a missing 7-year-old ends in happy reunion
Uintah County Sheriff's Office started its weekend off with a 13-hour overnight search for a 7-year-old boy. The boy went missing Friday night after he was last seen on his motorcycle in the Dyer Park Area. "It was kind of like a needle in a haystack in the dark," said Shad Shelley, commander of Uintah County Search and Rescue.

1. RSL shuts out Dynamo 3-0 in Savarino's return to Rio Tinto
Real Salt Lake put on a show at Rio Tinto Stadium for Jefferson Savarino's return to Salt Lake Saturday, scoring three goals and allowing none in a dominant showing against the Houston Dynamo.
2. Utah Warriors' home finale special for retiring St. George native Chad Gough
The 6-foot, 245-pound Gough achieved both goals in his final home match Saturday afternoon, scoring the Utah Warriors' second try of the game in a 39-32 loss to the Western Conference-leading LA Giltinis (11-4).
3. BYU earns 21 bids to NCAA track and field nationals; SUU, UVU, Utah add 7 more
Plenty of standards were met and goals fulfilled around the country as the NCAA qualified track and field athletes for the outdoor track and field national championships in Eugene, Oregon, also know as Track Town, USA.
Several of them came from Utah schools, led by 21 from the BYU men's and women's programs.
4. Riverton, Spanish Fork repeat as state softball champions
The Silverwolves and Dons went wire-to-wire as the teams to beat in Class 6A and 5A, respectively, en route to a championship for the second-consecutive season.

- 5A softball: Sapp's gem leads Spanish Fork to repeat state title
5. Riverton, Lehi cap off championship season with state baseball titles
The Pioneers won their first baseball title in school history in the 5A championship series, while the Silverwolves battled back to beat American Fork twice on Saturday to take the 6A championship.
