THE FOX LAIR — I don't know about you, but I love bringing up things that were popular about a decade or so ago and resurfacing them like they never left.

With that said, let's talk about "What Does the Fox Say?"

The music video by Ylvis explores the question of what the fox says. We know the cow says, "moo" and the dog says, "woof," but what about the fox? Is it a howl? Is it a squeak?

So many people were curious about the answer that the video has garnered more than 1 billion views in the last eight years. I think that's about to change because we now have an answer.

What follows may or may not be true.

The two foxes in this video reached out to me and let me know that they think it's an injustice to foxes everywhere that two humans are making millions off of a song about what they say. They are foxes, after all, and why aren't they seeing the rewards? Why don't they have a video showing off what they actually say that has over a billion views?

They asked me to try to right some wrongs, so here I am.

These two foxes are howling — I think — at each other and almost seem to be harmonizing. Not only do foxes make a certain kind of sound, but they can do it as a duet.

As of now, this video has less than 20,000 views, but I think it's time we do our part and pay it forward. I challenge Ylvis to do the same, but they're probably too busy hanging out in their mansions with their fox money coming up with their next hit, "What Does the Turtle Say?" in an effort to exploit yet another species.
