THE GYM — House cats need healthy routines to stay at peak performance, just like most of us.

But for a myriad of reasons, cats can get a little chubby and out of shape. After all, who can say no to any cute little kitty face when it's begging for treats?

This particular kitty, known as Cinder-block, wasn't in the best "stay lean" situation at home, and she was eventually surrendered to a vet. Sadly, the vet diagnosed Cinder as morbidly obese upon arrival. But the good news is the vet knew what to do next to help make this sweet-faced kitty get back into fighting shape — exercise.

When obese cats and dogs need help beyond a change in diet and increase in play to lose weight, there are special water treadmills available to help them walk off some pounds without putting too much strain on their joints.

In this video, you'll see that this type of treadmill mentioned above is where Cinder found herself one fateful day, and let's just say it's not the lifestyle she was used to. Obviously, she wasn't about to go into her new routine quietly.

The poor gal can't do much to physically fight back, so she plunks herself in the corner and does exactly what I do in my workouts — the bare minimum with lots of complaining. Whether it's right or wrong to laugh, the scene is adorably hilarious.

Yes, it's clear that this situation is not funny when it comes to Cinder's health, but that doesn't mean we can have a little joy in her journey. After all, we know that Cinder-block is in a place where she is now getting the care she needs.
