JURASSIC COURTROOM — A wedding is a day to remember, but too many of us go the traditional route and our wedding just becomes one more that someone attended.
I'm not trying to offend anyone, but that's what happened at my wedding. We went traditional despite my desire to go a little off-the-wall. Personally, I wanted two comfy recliners that my new bride and I sat in with all of our delicious food in front of us, and then people could come give us their well-wishes as we sat and dined.
I was told no, so we had a traditional line.
I never got to eat anything and I stood in the heat for hours, shaking hands with people I had never met nor would meet again. It was a wonderful day — one I wouldn't trade for the world — but my wife and I are really the only two that will find it memorable.
That's why I have a lot of admiration for the couple in this video. Would I have chosen this particular way to make my nuptials stand out? No, but I have to give it to them; they don't' care what anyone else thinks or wanted on this day and remembered it was about them. That's something.
Dominique Yost-Moser and Chad Moser were married in a Pennsylvania courthouse on Halloween back in 2018, but the video was recently posted.
The happy couple got dressed in their suit and white dress, but over the top of that, they had inflatable T-rex costumes on. Even the bridesmaid (or maybe it's the best man?) is donned in a Jurassic outfit to celebrate the happy couple.
There is something both strange and wonderful about this sight and I tip my hat to the happy couple.
The groom also had another surprise for his bride when the couple was told they could finally kiss, but I won't ruin that. I'll let you watch for yourself.
So go make your moments memorable for you and try to make everyday "roar-some."
