THE HOUSE, DAY 143 — This entire coronavirus pandemic has been one long exercise in getting to know your living space intimately well. I’ve never related so much with agoraphobia (the fear of being outside the home) in my life! There’s a whole wide world out there and seeing it seems impossible.

This toddler and his dad have long since found a way to make the entire world come to them. With a dad who can do SFX, there’s no reason the floor can’t really become lava and the living room can’t be the set of every awesome movie ever. Just take a look at this video compilation from Action Movie Kids for proof.

The sound effects are a great touch, and you can see how much this toddler is experiencing his dreams. It’s as if his own little world as a Jedi master, the wielder of a rocket launcher, or Batman's favorite Robin suddenly became visible to all of us— or at least his talented dad’s version of events has. We hear the whoosh of lightsabers, the boom of fireworks, and the bubbling of lava.

It’s easy to see that this father and son have made their home an adventure. Their fun video serves as a reminder to all of us to stay home, stay safe and — perhaps most importantly for our sanity — keep things exciting nonetheless.
