Autumn is the time of the annual Kokanee salmon spawn. Kokanee are found in many Utah waters, and September and October are a great time to view this wonder of color.

Places in Utah to view spawning kokanee are the Visitor Center at Strawberry Reservoir, upper Provo River near Jordanelle Reservoir, and Sheep Creek at Flaming Gorge.
