MILLCREEK — An 88-year-old man who shot a 60-year-old man in the arm on Thursday was transported to a hospital in serious condition hours after the initial incident, Unified police said.
The shooting happened in the area of 2100 E. Sierra Ridge Court, according to UPD. Police originally said the man was 80, but later corrected the information.
The incident was part of an ongoing family feud, Unified police detective Ken Hansen said. The 60-year-old man was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, Hansen said.
Hansen said the alleged shooter barricaded himself inside of the home, where he remained for most of Thursday afternoon. By 7:30 p.m., the man had been transported to the hospital in serious condition.
While the man was barricaded, police heard another gunshot from inside the house, Hansen said.
