ALTA — A Seattle man died Thursday after he was found unresponsive in deep snow, according to authorities.

Sean Brennan, 37, who was identified Saturday, was unconscious near the Sunspot area when skiers found him about 2:30 p.m. and called 911, according to Alta Town Marshal Mike Morey.

He was found near a tree and witnesses performed lifesaving efforts before he was transported to Alta Medical Clinic, where he was pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation and authorities didn’t release Brennan's cause of death.

Brennan's death is the second at a Utah ski resort in one week. On Wednesday, 20-year-old Charles Noxon died while skiing at Park City Mountain Resort, authorities confirmed.

Authorities said it appears Thursday’s incident was accidental and no one else was involved in Brennan's death.

A PayPal scholarship fund* was later set up for Brennan’s three children.
