CATVILLE — There are many challenges when operating a restaurant.
You’ve got food safety, employee schedules, and slim profit margins to name a few. But sometimes it’s the owner of the restaurant that creates the biggest challenges to restaurant operations.
In some cases, an owner might have good ideas for their place of business, but those ideas don’t always match the practicality of what day-to-day work looks like. Additionally, an owner might not help, or may even get in the way, during the dinner rush.
Today you’ll see an example of one of the worst restaurant owners of all time, so it’s a good thing she’s so adorable.
The video shows a big, orange tabby cat sprawled on her back in the deep sleep that only cats can manage. This in and of itself isn’t surprising, but the place where she decided to take her beauty nap is — in the middle of the floor at a restaurant in Chachoengsao, Thailand.
This sweet sleeping beauty is named Thongdang, and she couldn’t care less that servers need to step over her as they do their jobs. According to the video description, the restaurant manager said, "She’s the kind of cat that does what she wants and everybody else has to accommodate her."
It’s clear that no matter what the deed of the restaurant says, Thondang owns the joint. And it’s also clear that Disney’s "Aristocats" got it right — "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat."
