LEHI — A Utah cyclist was hospitalized Monday in critical condition after his bike collided with a semitruck hauling two trailers on Timpanogos Highway just before 1 p.m.

The accident occurred just east of the I-15 overpass structure, according to Lehi Police Sgt. Bart Kirkham.

The man suffered critical injuries and was taken via ambulance to a hospital, where he was then transported via medical helicopter to a different hospital, Kirkham said.

The man’s name and age weren’t released but Kirkham said he was from the Utah County area.

The man remained in critical condition Monday evening, Kirkham said.

Further details about the wreck weren’t available Monday evening.

Police are investigating the crash, Kirkham said.
