UPDATE: As of 8 a.m. Thursday, power has been restored in the Moab area to all but two people, according to Rocky Mountain Power's website. - - - - - -

MOAB — A citywide power outage was reported in Moab Wednesday about 9:30 p.m., according to Moab City police. Rocky Mountain Power was “working hard” to restore power, police said in a Facebook post.

The cause of the outage wasn’t immediately available. According to Rocky Mountain Power’s website, the outage was impacting more than 7,000 people.

Power was expected to be restored between midnight and 2:30 a.m., according to Rocky Mountain Power estimates, the post said.
