SOUTH SALT LAKE — A 50-year-old man died Monday afternoon from injuries he received in what police deemed an “industrial accident.”
The man was under a car on lifts removing a transmission when something slipped and the car fell on top of the man, according to South Salt Lake executive officer Gary Keller.
The man, whose name was not released, was pinned under the car about 3:30 p.m. He was extricated and taken to a hospital in critical condition where he died, Keller said.
The incident took place at Pick-n-Pull, located at 585 W. 3300 South, Keller said.
