SALT LAKE CITY — FanX has added two more high-profile guests this week to the lineup for its spring event.

The company announced this week that “Ready Player One” star Tye Sheridan and “Shazam!” actor Zachary Levi will be on the schedule for the convention, which takes place April 19-20 at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

Levi has appeared at FanX in Utah before, and he wanted to come back this time, said FanX emcee Chris Provost.

“We’re thrilled with that,” Provost said. “He says it’s the fans. He loves being here, he loves interacting with the fans and he always gives a good show, so we’re excited about that.”

Levi’s affinity for FanX extends beyond appearing at events.

Earlier in March, Levi joined actors Manu Bennett and Kevin Sorbo — also former FanX guests — in a request to file court briefs arguing that the term “comic con” is generic and widely recognized. FanX has been involved for several years in a lawsuit with San Diego Comic Con over the company’s use of the term.

Provost predicted that Levi’s role in “Shazam!” — in which he plays a 14-year-old who can magically transform into an adult superhero — will be a game-changer for the actor.

“This movie’s gonna catapult him to a new level,” Provost said.

It will be Sheridan’s first time appearing at FanX, according to Provost. In addition to “Ready Player One,” Sheridan plays Cyclops in the current iteration of the X-Men franchise, and will be featured in “Dark Phoenix,” out later this year.

“We love to be able to represent the X-Men fandom here,” Provost said.

He also said it will be exciting to ask Sheridan questions about what it was like working with Steven Spielberg, who directed “Ready Player One.”

Sheridan and Levi will be part of a lineup that also includes “Wonder Woman” actress Lynda Carter, rock star Alice Cooper, “The Office” actor Brian Baumgartner and more.

There still might be a few more guests who have yet to be announced, Provost said.

“We are always, even up to the night of the show, working on procuring more guests,” he said.
