Unified Fire Authority officials say there were no injuries in Saturday afternoon's explosion that occurred in the attic of the building. No one else was inside the other units at the time of the blast.
PROVO, Utah (AP) — A towering steel spiral structure that sits in front of the new state courthouse in Provo is the work of an Arizona artist who says he wanted a light and airy piece of art to contrast the courthouse. The Daily Herald in Provo reports that sculptor Lyle London beat out about 300 artists to win the chance to make the sculpture using the $330,000 in state funding for the project. Every state building is required to use one percent of its budget on artwork for the site.

The 50-year-old Laurie Holt died unexpectedly Feb. 10 at her Riverton, Utah, home, less than one year after her son Josh Holt returned to the U.S. after being imprisoned for nearly two years on weapons charges that the Holts and U.S. politicians said were invented.
