SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Latest on Utah weather (all times local):

8:45 a.m.

Northbound Interstate 15 has reopened near Cedar City in southwestern Utah after being closed for several hours Tuesday morning due to hazardous weather conditions.

The Utah High Patrol says troopers had reported that 15 tractor-trailer were blocking traffic after spinning out of control due to traveling too fast for conditions.

Winter storm warnings and advisories blanket much of Utah and hazardous travel conditions are reported across much of the state. in The National Weather Service says total snow accumulations of up to 6 inches (15 centimeters) are expected in Salt Lake City, Ogden and Provo. Cedar City is expected to get up to 4 inches (10 centimeters) of new snow.

The National Weather Service says total snow accumulations of up to 6 inches (15 centimeters) are expected in Salt Lake City, Ogden and Provo. Cedar City is expected to get up to 4 inches (10 centimeters) of new snow.

Heavy snow is expected in the Wasatch Mountains south of Interstate 80 and in the western Uinta Mountains and on the Wasatch Plateau, with expected new accumulations of up to 18 inches (46 centimeters).
