RUSSIA, OF COURSE — As we head into what feels like endless winter, it sometimes seems difficult to even get out of the house.
It's cold, dark and whitish-gray outside. So in order to not lose our minds during this time, we have to get innovative.
How do you make building a snowman more interesting? Maybe build it 25 feet tall. How do you make sledding more interesting? By strapping leaf blowers to the sled and making it turbo-powered. At least, that's what one dad in Belgorod, Russia, did.
This video shows the high-powered sled pushing a little girl through the snow. I can't get into the head of this dad, but if he's slowly losing his mind during the long winter like me, then there is a good chance this was his conversation with his daughter before they did this:
Dad: Why don't you go outside and play?
Daughter: Because it's cold.
Dad: It's always cold. You should go do something fun. Maybe sledding?
Daughter: I'm tired of sledding.
Yesterday's Have You Seen This?
And then I'm sure the dad's thought process went something like this:
Dad: *In his mind* She doesn't think sledding's fun anymore, does she? Well, I have a couple of leaf blowers and a whole lot of spare time that says she's wrong.
Then there is a "Rocky IV"-type montage of duct tape and trial and error, and before you know it, SledCrusher 3000 is born.
Maybe the sled isn't as high-powered as the dad may have hoped, but it's still pretty awesome and his daughter seems to be having fun, so it's a win for everyone.
Enjoy the video and start enjoying your winter again.
